Welcome to the C.M. Stripling Irrigation Research Park Website!

The University of Georgia’s Stripling Irrigation Research Park (SIRP) is a state-of-the-art irrigation research and education center located in the heart of the Dougherty Plain of Georgia, on Georgia Highway 37 between Camilla and Newton. SIRP’s primary research involves cutting-edge technologies in the field of precision irrigation and precision agriculture.
With a commitment to leadership and problem-solving, SIRP assists in an agricultural-based economy that relies considerably on a critical but finite resource: water. Current research studies focus on water conservation as well as water management using a variety of smart systems for irrigation.
