Different Types of Dominoes
Dominoes are a family of tile-based games. They’re also commonly known as gaming pieces, and consist of rectangular tiles with square ends and spots on them. Each tile has two spots on one end. The object is to stack the tiles up in sequence, making them look like dominoes. If you manage to stack them up in sequence, you’ve won the game.
Double-six set

Chinese-style games

The most basic game of domino involves two or four players, who take turns drawing seven dominoes. Each player is awarded a point when they have two identical tiles. Blocking games
Blocking games in domino are among the most simple types of domino games. Often called The Block Game, they are played over several rounds and have a simple objective – to reach 100 points. Players take turns choosing their own tiles and try to place them in the correct order. At the end of each round, the player with the most points wins. The remaining tiles are placed in a “boneyard” or stock pile. During the game, players are not allowed to draw tiles from the boneyard.
A common variant of Block is the Draw Game, which is played by taking fewer dominoes in the beginning. If the player cannot place a domino, he or she must pick up a sleeping domino. Once the sleeping dominos are exhausted, the game ends. This means that a two-player game would start with seven dominoes, whereas a three-player game would start with five tiles. Four-player games would start with four tiles, and a five-player game would start with three tiles.
